When I was in 2nd grade and seven years old, my sister and I finally convinced my parents to get a dog.  My Dad researched all kinds of breeds.  Finally we came upon Danish Swedish Farmdogs.  The breed sounded perfect for your family! 

Skoen (our Danish Swedish Farmdog) has been a perfect fit for our athletic, busy life.  Skoen loves to ride in the car, which makes our lives easier.  Skoen is very energetic but he calms down and loves to take naps too.  He adores sleeping under the covers in winter to keep warm.  Skoen enjoys going on walks, but won’t budge in severe heat. Skoen is a lovable, adorable and easy dog to have in the family.  We love him!

Skoen is super friendly.  He has many dog friends.  He loves to play, play, and play with his doggie buddies.  Skoen is a working dog; his main job at our house is to “help compost”.  Every time my Mom yells “Compost!” Skoen gets super excited and sprints out barking and “protecting” my Mom while she goes to the composter.  Another Farmdog trait is mousing. Skoen shows his farming skill by catching mice for my mom when she is mad or tense.

Skoen was amazingly easy to train.  He is wonderful at tricks and learns fast. Everyone loves Skoen because of his good nature, his kindness and of course how cute he is.
